TRAVELLING TO SCILLY

Scilly can be reached from the English mainland by air or by sea
 

Skybus operates Flights from Land's End which take 15 minutes, Newquay 30 minutes and Exeter is an hour. 
 

The Scillonian III ferry departs Penzance quay at 9.15 am (Please check times as they can vary at different times of the year and on spring tides). It sails directly to St Mary's quay and takes just over 2 & 1/2 hours.

The new helicopter service from Penzance Helicopters which operates from Penzance flies into Tresco & St Mary's.

If you travel by Scillonian III, the local carrier will automatically deliver your luggage to Garrison House (see Arrivals & Departures).
 

Garrison House is just a short walk up the hill from the Quay. Follow the signs for Star Castle.

 

Bookings can be made for the Scillonian III ferry which sails daily from Penzance (March to November) and for the Skybus plane departing from Land's End, Newquay and Exeter.

For arrival by Skybuor Helicopter there is a mini-bus service run which meets every flight on St Mary's and can bring you to the Garrison Arch. This is run by Island Transfers. More info can found with the following link: www.islandtransfers.co.uk

Road, Rail and Connecting Airlines

 

Head for the West Country using the M5 or A303, then the A30 on to Penzance. The quay is clearly signposted and has ample parking near by. Secure parking is also available at http://www.scillyparking.co.uk

 

Skybus passengers can pick up a shuttle bus from outside the railway station which takes you directly to Lands End providing you have booked it with your airline ticket. 

 

For those driving, Lands End is just 15 minutes out of Penzance and there is parking available at the airport or at Westwinds Car Park right next door.
